Exalt our Savior, Equip the Saints, Evangelize the Lost

After God created the earth He made man.  The first man and woman created were Adam and Eve.  Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and at this point sin came into the world.  Because God hates sin and can not dwell with sinners, He could no longer have a relationship with man.  Throughout the next thousands of years God provided a way for man to have forgiveness of sins and a limited relationship with God through the blood sacrifice of bulls and goats.  God did not delight in the sacrifice of bulls and goats, but He did delight in man's desire for forgiveness of sins and to have a relationship with God.  From the beginning of time God had a better plan to restore His relationship with man.  About 2000 years ago God took on flesh by sending His son Jesus into the world.  Jesus lived a life on earth without sin.  Jesus showed that He was God by healing the sick, raising the dead, calming the wind and the waves, and allowing people to worship Him.  Jesus made many of the religious authorities of His day angry and He was put to death on a Roman cross.  He was buried in a borrowed tomb and three days later rose from the dead.  After His resurrection He appeared to over 400 people before ascending back into Heaven.  With His death on the cross, Jesus became a perfect , permanent blood sacrifice for the sins of mankind; so that those who believe in who Christ is and place their faith and trust in Him can receive forgiveness of sins, have a relationship with God, and live in Heaven for eternity.

You can read more details about this story from the Bible in the books of Genesis, Exodus, John, and Luke

This story is often called the "gospel" or "good news" because it is good news about how we can have a relationship with God, the one who created us, the one who loves us, and the one who cares for us.  Maybe after reading this story, and reading the books of the Bible mentioned above you are interested in believing in Christ and placing your faith and trust and hope in Him.  If you are interested, the information below will help you know how to place your faith in Christ.

A--Admit  that you are a sinner and that without the forgiveness of sin you cannot have a relationship with God and will spend eternity in Hell, separated from Him.  Turn away from your sin and turn to Christ.   "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23  "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  Romans 6:23

B--Believe who Jesus is and why He came to earth.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life"  John 3:16

C--Confess who Jesus is and what you believe about Him publicly.  "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:9
